* Introduction of the WREA Public Relations Ambassador, Dr. Hwang Young Jo
Dr. Hwang won a gold medal in the marathon at the 25th Barcelona Olympics in 1992 and he is called a hero of Montjuic.
The marathon is considered as the flower of the Olympics and it runs on the last day during the Olympics. The marathon is a very hard sports event challenging the limits of human ability and it requires an enormous amount of training and patience without giving up.
His mother raised her children as a woman diver, which is a very tough job done underwater. Whenever he runs, he always thinks of his mother’s face working underwater while she holds her breath. He repeatedly thought that he had to endure this difficulty as he could breathe in the air, while his mother was working underwater while holding her breath. From that, he got great ability for the marathon with patience and endurance without giving up. This effort helped him win a gold medal and as a director of the World Filial Piety Culture Foundation, he devotes himself to reward parental love and to spread the filial piety culture.
After the Olympics, he continued to study without conceit and obtained a doctorate degree.
He has contributed to the education as a marathon leader and he has helped to revitalize education and makes it more well-rounded, through the enlightened use of human resources based on inner motivation, improved confidence, positive thinking, optimistic thoughts, leadership education and passionate education.
He is doing his best to perform his various given jobs and as a public relations ambassador of the WREA, he is in charge of educating training leaders for the mission and activity of the WREA.
